Oh, wins. They’re still one point behind Shadow Creek after this is my estimate after the um the 200 meters here. So, we’ll just have I’m sure it’ll come down to that mile relay for them. Well, before that happens, we got a heck of a race here. We saw a national record go down in the boys 100.
I’m here to tell you we might see a national record go down here in the boys 200. That is because the 100 national record holder, Tate Taylor, is in this. He is nestled there in lane seven. He is the indoor national champion with a 20.47.
So keep an eye out on him. Richard Lee, he ran 20.77.
And I’m telling you, it took 20.8 just to get fifth at the region 3 meet.
Lee was one of those to survive that. Dallas Jesuit has Harlem Bucler. He’s gone 20.83. He’s going to be right in the mix.
The sophomore from Periland, Caleb Samuels 2119. and Tanuk Hines, we saw him bring back their 4×2. He was second in his race last year with a 2069. Do you happen to have the Texas state record in the uh 6A 200? I do.
Thanks for asking. And that’s by none other than the honorary robot Roy Martin. That’s the national record, NFHS record. So, he’s gone 20.13.
His state record is 20 24. So, the national record is 2013. Uh the national record is 20.09. 09.
Okay.
That’s by no allow that’s in jeopardy. It it Oh, yeah. That that’s a possibility. When a guy can run 9992, you can do the math.
20.4 indoors. You you get a flying 100 for your second 100. Theoretically, it’s in jeopardy right now. There are your lane assignments.
All most of these guys have run 20 point and you got to be pretty darn fired up after running a 992. So, this could happen right here. So, state record, national record, watch. And that could come from any one of these gentlemen. Don’t count out to new kinds as we said in lane six and we are off.
Richard Lee looking good trying to catch Tate Taylor but he’s behind already and trying to reel him in doing his darnest but Tate Taylor not having that. Watch the clock folks. This is going to be Did he ease? I don’t know. They they didn’t stop the clock on 14, so we can’t gawk at it right now.
We’re looking at it across the field. It if he eased, he might not have, but 204, 1.8 win. So, the record was 20.09.
That’s the national record. That is a state record. He takes down Roy Martin’s 20.24. However, Mr.
Noah Li, you live one more day. So that’s a that’s a tie for the fourth alltime performance there from Tate Taylor. Mhm. Just eyeing it across the track. It felt he may have eased just a tinch in the last five meters.
I couldn’t tell. He’s like, “Guys, I got this. I’ll be back next year.
or just want to give you a tease..
