[Music] Yesterday up in Austin at UT’s Micah A Meyer Stadium, Randolph’s Taylor Nunees did something never seen before. In her four events, long jump, 10, excuse me, 100 meter, 200 meter, and 4×400 meter relay. Nunees placed first in every event. That’s four gold medals, making her the most decorated Texas High School track and field athlete of all time with 16 gold medals in her career. It hasn’t sunk in yet.
You know, it’s been an accomplishment since freshman year when I won four. And uh just knowing that I’m, you know, the most decorated female athlete in Texas now. It really hasn’t hit me yet, the emotions cuz I wanted her to stay focused and not worry about her mom being an emotional mess. And now I can kind of just let go and just enjoy it and embrace it the next couple of days, you.
