Tate Taylor Runs 9.92 100M For HIGH SCHOOL NATIONAL RECORD at Texas 2025 UIL 6A State Championships


That was just a taste. We have the cherry on top of all that. The 6A boys here and it’s going to be probably even better if the wins are fair. We have Braden Williams who’s gone 982 and 982. Now, that is with a 6.

0 win, but still he went 995 the next day. So, he’s from Duncanville. He is in lane number five. Keep an eye out for him. Dylan Mitchell, a freshman.

He’s gone 1035 legally, 10 flat with a little bit of wind. So keep an eye on him as well. Here’s your starting list. JBon Jones from Odessa, he’s had some burners. He’s in lane one.

Brillan Bird, Tomball Memorial, he went 10 flat in region two. He’s in lane two. Richard Lee from Dickinson. He’s been a football player, but now he’s for real on the track in three. Tate Taylor from North Side, Harland San Antonio in lane four.

He was second in this race last year. He’s a 10-2 guy. There is Braden Williams right there at the red kit. Keep your eye on him.

The freshman in six. Kade beaten from Prosper in seven, Chenuok on Wekqua, we saw him anchors uh the 4×4, he’s in eight, and Elijah Clark from Austin Westlake in lane nine. Don’t blink, folks, cuz you’re going to miss what happened. These boys are just that fast. You know, it’s not been that many time any many Olympics ago that some someone running in the 98s would win the Olympic win Olympics in the hundreds.

So, we’re looking at a possibility of seeing that type of performance right now for sure. And a lot of these guys are seniors, so they’re at the, you know, their physicality is is topped. Their maturation is there, but you still then have Dylan Mitchell, a freshman. Craig Taylor and Kate Beaton are just juniors. And Onua is a freshman as well.

Yeah, you have two freshman in here and and you talked about the number of girls who and how fast they ran. I think we’re going to see all these guys 104 and faster. I you know, it’s more common thing you’d find freshman girls that can run the hundred like that, but freshman boys, they’re going against these guys that are 18 years old.

Yeah. And and win legal performances.

Dylan Mitchell 1035, Kaden Beaton 1045, JBrien Jones 1050, Richard Richardson Lee 1054, Elijah Clark 1058. Then you have Brilan Dav, excuse me, Brilland Bird, like I say, went 10 10 flat. Tate Taylor is I mean, we I haven’t gotten to him yet. I got I have to think he’s one of the favorites here. I know I know uh Brilen Braden Williams is is that dude, but so is Tate Taylor, so keep an eye out for him.

He’s run 102 on Czecha. Just look at the the background crowd right there. It’s just amazing the love of track in Texas. Last year we saw a fantastic race. They ran into a headwind.

That is when Tate Taylor went. I don’t think anyone’s sitting down right now.

No, it’s been since maybe the uh Matthew Bowling days since we’ve seen this much fanfare around this race. Yeah, it’s going to be a hot one. You want a clean start.

Say it. One of the best starters in the game is Braden Williams and he is there. Here comes Tate Taylor. They’re neck and neck. There goes Tate Taylor.

I told you Tate Taylor was one that can win it and I think he does. We got to see this clock. 1.1. And there’s a nine a win legal 992 by Tate Taylor.

10:01 for Braden Williams. Tate Taylor won 200 indoors and he win indoor Nike nationals and he wins a Texas State National Meet with 9.92. Are you for real? Richard Lee 1016 for third.

Kelly running 10-1 to get a medal here in Texas. 1016 to to get take home a medal. The freshman 1017 in [Applause] fourth 1018. 1018 for fifth place. And that is a new national record.

9.93 from Christian Miller last year was it. Tate Taylor goes 992.
