In lane six, he comes in with a second fastest time of 151.13. A senior from Willis, Heath Grant. In lane seven, he was a 2024 state finalist. Finishing in the top five, the senior from Austin, Loose Bone.

In lane eight, a sophomore from North Side, Brendan, Ben Heeler. And routing out the top nine of the best 800 meter runners in the state of Texas, a senior from Lancaster, Franklin Perez.

Hip number eight, making her debut in these state championships, the freshman from Katie Taylor, Caroline Barrow.

The state record set in 2017 and also the conference record set in 2017 by Sam Worley of Komal Canyon in 40230. And here are your state finalists.

Hip number one, the senior from El Paso Eastwood, Danny Aiden Torres. Hip number two, the senior from Bridgland, Benjamin Montgomery. Hip number three, the senior from Lewisville, Marcus Parker. No. Hip number four from Clear Creek, the senior, Chris Ceda.

Hip number five. He enters with the second fastest time at 409.13. A junior from South Lake Carol, Kayen Leonard. Hip number six, the senior from Katy Seco Ranch, Alex Hong Vasai.

Hip number seven, the junior from the Woodlands College Park, Camden Gibson. Hip number eight, he comes in with the fastest time at 40837. a senior from San Antonio, Reagan, Gavin Chapa. And wearing hip number nine to round out the best 1600 meter runners in the state of Texas. He has the third fastest time at 40948, a senior from Northside Brennan, Zachary Miller.

Your state finalist in the boys 1600 meter run 6A division. Who will be the UIL new state champion? Torres, Montgomery, NS, Freeden, Leonard, Han, Gibson, Chapa, or Miller? Aiden Torres. He comes in with a time of 419.

Benjamin Montgomery. He’s entering at [Music] 41282 no longer. He comes in at 41039. Chris Cedan clearly he’s entered at NC time of [Music] 41464 at 416 this year. and winning 41321 Thomas Parks Camden [Music] [Applause] Gibson.

So far we have a tight group. Another very strategic race. All the athletes are running very smart. We really admire that about all of our athletes. Completing that first 400 meters in the first position is Benjamin Montgomery of Bridgeland at 10794 followed by Camden Gibson at 10811.

And then Kevin or Gavin Chapa at 10812. Montgomery Gibson and Chapa running 1, two, and three. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Come on. [Applause] Here are the results for the Comfort 6A girls 1600 meter run. In sixth place, Meredith Will and fifth place, Katherine Valentine.

And fourth place, Rowan Saki. And here now in the awards stand, our top three finishers, third place, bronze medal winner at a time of 45, 52.26, a senior from Mr. Ridge, Emma Wade. And second place, silver medalist in a time of 449.

58, a junior from Denton Brazwell, Maisy Woodgard. All right, your 2025 number six champion that time a 4459 a senior from Lewisville Alexandra Fox now 1600 meter run current leaders Gibson Chapman and Leonard running 1, two, and three at that last 800 meters.

But we have someone making a move. And we’re down to the bow lap. This may be another close one.

Gibson, your current leader. Chapla now in second. And Chris Ceden of Clearfree. He is now in a third position. So Gibson, Chapa, and Freedom 1, two, and three.
